At Ercall Wood Academy drama and music are taught in Key stage 3 offered at key stage 4 dance is also offered as a GCSE in key stage 4.
Lunchtime and ‘after school’ clubs run every day so there are plenty of opportunities for students of all abilities to enjoy a wide range of activities. This year’s clubs include drama devising and script, contemporary dance and aerial silks.
There are regular performances, both at the academy and in the wider community in drama.
Recent whole academy productions have included ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Grimm’s Fairy Tales’ and ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’
Students have the opportunity to not only show their acting, singing, and dancing talents, but also their talents for lighting and sound, design, costume, hair and make-up design, and set and stage management.
